Pets are part of the build
Do not treat pets as a random bonus slot. With up to 4 equipped pets, every slot should support what your farm is trying to do. The current data tracks 28 pets, and their effects point in different directions: seed luck, growth speed, fertilizer, pet treats, mutation upgrades, and instant growth effects.
How I choose pets
- If I am still unlocking better seeds, I value seed luck and growth help more.
- If I am going AFK, I prefer stable growth or fertilizer-style effects because they keep working without constant decisions.
- If I am in late game, I look harder at mutation upgrades and effects that scale with an already strong farm.
- For event pets, I care less about rarity text and more about whether the ability actually fits my setup.
Pets worth reading closely
- Rhino (Secret) - Boosts all floor plants grow speed by {percent} for {duration} seconds every {seconds}s
- Claw Machine Kraken (Exotic) - Provides a {seedLuckMultiplier}x Seed Luck boost
- Gorilla (Rare) - Applies a Strong Fertilizer to a Random plant Every {seconds}s
- Triceratops (Secret) - Applies a Normal Pet Treat to a random equipped pet every {seconds}s
- Gallimimus (Legendary) - {chance} Chance to Fully Grow a Random Plant every 2m

My pet-building rule
Pick the farm plan first, then pick pets. If your plan is fast active farming, choose pets that speed up that loop. If your plan is long AFK sessions, choose pets that make the farm stable while you are gone. A powerful pet in the wrong plan still feels mediocre.
