Mutations are not just visual effects
If your farm has decent seeds but still feels weak, mutations are probably the first thing I would check. The current data has 18 mutation entries, and the best ones can completely change whether a plant is worth keeping.
The strongest multipliers in the current dataset are:
- Fire - x10
- Carnival - x9.5
- Bubblegum - x9
- Cosmic - x8
- Honeycomb - x6.5
- Meteor - x6
How stacking really feels in play
The extracted formula treats stacked mutations as base 1 plus the bonus portion of each mutation. So you still get a big combined boost, but it is not a silly infinite multiplier chain. In practice, that means the first strong mutation matters a lot, and stacking more good mutations is still valuable when the base plant is strong enough.
Where I spend rare mutation tools
- Use high multipliers on plants you plan to keep for a while, not on a temporary filler seed.
- Prioritize plants with strong sell price and a growth cycle that does not feel painful.
- When comparing two seeds, apply the same mutation in the calculator so the comparison stays fair.
- Do not waste time chasing perfect mutations on every slot early. Upgrade the farm first, then min-max.
The simple takeaway
A strong seed with a weak mutation can disappoint you. A good seed with a great mutation can carry a whole stage of progression. When income feels flat, check mutation quality before blaming the seed.
